This started with an advanced kit I purchased, "Round About" by Week's Ringle and Bill Kerr of Modern Quilt Studio. The piecing involved making and inserting 15 yellow circles 7.5" in diameter into chocolate brown squares and cutting them into larger circles and inserting them into an orange field of squares with a vertical and horizontal lattice. For a different perspective, I modified the pattern by adding a frame of an African feel of yellow and black combination 100% cotton and used Dream Wool batting to accentuate the quilting. The custom quilting of the image KP Karlee's Circle 17 was quilted in a low density at ~ 14" in diameter. The quilt's binding is finished with hand stitching.
